Frieda M. VanNatter of Cadillac went to be with the Lord, Monday, April 17, 2017. She was 87 and resided at Samaritas Senior Living in Cadillac.
Mrs. VanNatter was born May 10, 1929 in Cadillac to Arthur H. & Gladys Pearl (Bordeaux) Nelson. On June 13, 1959 in Greenville, South Carolina she married Keith M. VanNatter and he preceded her in passing on September 14, 2014.
Frieda graduated from Cadillac High School in 1947 and had lived most of her life in Cadillac. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Cadillac for many years and had been the Lakeview Manor coordinator, prayer chain leader and helped arrange for greeters every Sunday. Frieda enjoyed baking for the Shepherd’s Table, baking and decorating cakes, crocheting Barbie clothes, traveling and was an avid reader.
She is survived by their children: Catherine Livermore (John Wiley) of Wisconsin, Deborah Delosa of Cadillac and Brad VanNatter of Grand Rapids; 6 grandchildren: April, Erica, Cassie, Robyn, Ryan and Ashlee; 11 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Nelson and a sister, Louise Reinink.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church in Cadillac with Reverend Scott Torkko officiating. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Cadillac. Friends may meet the family from 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
