Mary Lou Blanchard

March 29, 1927 - May 25, 2017

Mary Lou Blanchard of Tustin passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Autumnwood of McBain. She was 90.

Mary Lou was born in Tustin to David and Inez (Hartman) Eastlund and they preceded her in death. On January 5, 1946 she married Wayne A. Blanchard and he also preceded her in death on July 12, 2000.

She graduated from Tustin High School in 1944 and had worked for the State of Michigan in various locations throughout Michigan and retired in 1985. Mary Lou had lived in Tustin for many years and was a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church of Tustin and the Dorcas Circle there for many years. She was a Life Member of the Eastern Star and enjoyed cross word puzzles, word searches, soap opera and the game show network.

She is survived by her children: Michael (Nancy) Blanchard of Leroy, Dave (Valerie) Blanchard of Evart, and Sandra (Lee) Osterland of West Branch; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a brother, Edgar Eastlund and a sister, Ina Mae Eastlund and 7 sisters-in-law and 5 brothers-in-law.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Tustin with Rev. Keith Bergstrom officiating. Friends may meet the family Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM at Peterson Funeral & Cremation Services in Cadillac. Burial will take place at Burdell Township Cemetery in Tustin.
