Robert A. Dahlstrom

March 14, 1928 - June 12, 2017

Robert A. Dahlstrom of Cadillac passed away Monday, June 12, 2017 at Munson Healthcare Cadillac Hospital. He was 89 years old.
Robert was born on March 14th, 1928, in Detroit, Michigan to Carl and Gladys Dahlstrom. He graduated from Cass Tech High School in 1947. After some college, he served in the US Army and was stationed in Korea from 1950 to 1952 during the Korean Conflict.
In 1954, Robert married Jackie Wittenstrom of Chicago Illinois. He and his father ran the Rambler dealership on the north end of town until the early 1960s. Robert joined the Postal Service as a clerk and worked for almost 30 years before retiring in the early 1990s. Robert has had a long and enjoyable retirement with his family at his side. He was a long-time member of Zion Lutheran Church in Cadillac.
Robert is survived by his wife, Jackie; his three children: David (Patricia) Dahlstrom of Los Angeles, CA, Daniel Dahlstrom of Cadillac and Liberty (Jerry) Gray of Canadian Lakes; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; his brother Martin (Pam) Dahlstrom of Cadillac; and his cousin Marilyn Richmond of St. Johns. In addition to his parents Robert was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Montague.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, June 16, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church (350 Pearl St., Cadillac) with Reverend Scott Torkko officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until services at the church. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Cadillac. An online guestbook is available at www.petersonfh.com.
