Ambrose D. “Amie” Olson

November 12, 1944 - November 21, 2017

Ambrose D. “Amie” Olson of Cadillac passed away Tuesday morning, November 21, 2017 at his home. He was 73.

Amie was born November 12, 1944 in Cadillac to Orren and Helen (Scott) Olson and they preceded him in passing.

He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Amie did concrete work in the Cadillac area for many years. Amie had a rough exterior but a kind heart and enjoyed the outdoors.

He is survived by his brother, Gerald Olson of Cadillac; a sister, Marie Wertz of Bangor, Michigan; stepdaughter, Kelli (Brian) Long of Cadillac; many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and two sisters-in-law, Joey Olson of Manton and Kay Olson- Tapia of Arizona.

Amie was preceded in death by his parents; two siblings, Devere Olson and Jim Olson; a step-son, Marty Bigelow and a brother-in-law, Leroy Wertz.
Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Greenwood Township Cemetery in Wexford County with Mr. Gary Pullen officiating.
