Robert Lee Skinner

August 12, 1945 - January 05, 2018

Robert Lee Skinner of Cadillac passed away Friday, January 5, 2018 at Samaritas Senior Living in Cadillac. He was 72. Bob was born August 12, 1945.

Bob worked at various factories in the area and was currently employed at the Cadillac YMCA.

Bob served in the United States Army. He was baptized as an adult and a faithful member of the Cadillac Church of Christ. Bob was a hardworking, caring man who did what he could for others no matter the circumstance. He enjoyed reading, going for long walks, bike rides and watching football games with his family. He will be remembered for his quintessential Dad humor and the love he had for his children.

He is survived by his children: Tonya Skinner (Casey Foster) of Manton, Aimee` (Robert) McLain of Marion, Alicia Skinner of Cadillac, Julie Kurkowski (John Parmaro) of Coram, New York, Richard Skinner of Cadillac, Rob “Cian” MacBrid and Shaun Skinner both of Tennessee; grandchildren: Kaylee, Kamryn, Reanna, Kayla, Ashton, Gabriella, Bradley, Patience, Summer, Phoenix, Dante, Emmitt and several others and his sister, Wanda Skinner of Lansing.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Velma Skinner and a granddaughter, Sierra.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Peterson Funeral and Cremation Services in Cadillac with Pastor Gary Leftwich officiating. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

If anyone is likely to know how such things can sneak up on you its those of us in nursing. It will take a long time for me to come to terms with the decades of memories and all the things I didn't share with you, or tell you about my life, my son Corwyn and daughter Keira... and all the things I would have liked to hear you talk about.
