Evelyn K. Thompson of Cadillac passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at her home. She was 73.

Evelyn was born October 7, 1944 in Cadillac to William Lewis and Mildred Grace (Watson) Stinson and they preceded her in passing.

Evelyn believed in the Lord and the power of prayer. She worked at Paulstra in Cadillac for over 35 years before retiring. She loved going to Graceland with her daughter and catching up with her grandchildren. Evelyn loved her monthly lunches out with friends and visiting with them, especially her dear friend, Leola. She enjoyed spending time with her mom going on shopping trips to Wal-Mart and watching NASCAR. Evelyn was an avid Tigers Baseball fan. She also enjoyed trips to the casino and trips to Clare to go to the singles dances. Evelyn loved animals; her dogs, Gracie and Lady and cat, Kitty.

She is survived by her two children: Juliet (James) Eisen of Manton and John (Andy) Thompson of Florida: grandchildren: Matthew (Alisha) Otberg, Skyler (Carl) Inman, Whitney Colberg (Cody), Ashley Colberg, Emily Eisen; great-grandchildren, Damaen Inman and Atticus Otbeg; brothers: James (Beth) McGinn of Cadillac, Richard (Sharon) Stinson of Gwinn, Michigan and Dennis (Sue) Stinson of Charlotte, Michigan and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Peterson Funeral and Cremation Services in Cadillac with Chaplain Walter Ross officiating. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Her final resting place will be Maple Hill Cemetery in Cadillac.
