Carol Ann Hicks of Manton, formerly of Scarborough, Maine, passed away March 28, 2019 at Autumnwood of McBain. She was 56.
Carol was born July 23, 1962 in Portland, Maine to Robert Charles and Charlene Flora (Ballard) Hicks.
While living in Scarborough, Carol worked at The Center for the Blind as a piece worker. Once she moved to the Cadillac area Carol attended Hope Network for many years. She was proud of her time working and enjoyed the social interactions it provided.
In her younger years Carol traveled with her parents and especially enjoyed walks on the ocean with her Dad. Carol was a social butterfly and loved family gatherings and visits. She had the biggest smile, witty sense of humor and was so kind. Carol had the special ability to connect and create special friendships with children. She had a giving heart and was always sharing her beaded creations with family, friends and even acquaintances. Carol enjoyed the Wizard of Oz and the Partridge Family. She loved her tiny teddy bear babies and could be found with one at all times.
She is survived by her siblings: Susan (Garry) Marcum of Cadillac, Robert (Nancy) Hicks of East Waterboro, Maine, Charlene (David) Manley of Crestline, California, Roger (Doris) Hicks of Hollis, Maine, Val (Mike) O’Neill of Manton; many nieces and nephews and several cousins.
