Wanda I. Sickles

Wanda I. Sickles of Cadillac died Sunday afternoon, April 7, 2019 at Munson Healthcare Cadillac Hospital. She was 74. Wanda was born July 27, 1944 in Vernon Township, Isabella County, Michigan to Kenneth C. & Bernice L. (Colosky) Stambaugh and they preceded her in death.

Wanda attended school in the Farwell area and has lived for the past 45 years in the Cadillac area. She had been employed at Scotty’s Restaurant, South Shore Hotel, Hillcrest Restaurant, Four Winns and also did daycare in the Cadillac area. Wanda enjoyed word search puzzles, reading, walking, dancing, going out to eat and was known as a food connoisseur and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her 3 daughters: April (Doug) Wing of Cadillac, Brenda (Jon) Polen of Mesick, and Rebecca Sickles of Cadillac; 8 grandchildren: Kimberly (Eric) Streator, Jennifer (Josh) Wanstead, Sierra (Dave) Dillingham, Charles Sickles, Tylor Cooper, Jared Cooper, Christian Nefsey and Natalie Nefsey; 15 great grandchildren; a sister, Carolyn Stambaugh of Cadillac; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Charles Rodgers, Harold Stambaugh, and Ivan Stambaugh and a sister, Ruth Hubbs.

A memorial gathering will take place at a later date. Wanda’s final resting place will be Fairview Cemetery in Manton. An online guestbook is available at www.petersonfh.com.

"Aunt Wanda, you will be missed. I will remember coming over to your house maybe bit to much but never said anything she would perm my hair and talk. Remember Aunt Ruthann, Aunt Wanda and Aunt Carolyn going to the bar believe the Beacon and dancing they loved dancing. Alot of good memories. Also her soda and nuggets from Speedway, she walked everywhere. Will truly miss you Aunt Wanda. April, Brenda, and Becky, love you all. I know you all are in pain, thinking of all during this time.
