"My father, Bill and Jeanne were brother and sister. My dad adored his little sister, and she made several trips to Oregon to visit the family. Jeanne's success in real estate was always something for all of us to admire. Her leadership, and willingness to volunteer and work hard for her community is not a responsibility that many people are willing to take on. She had generosity that never ended, and energy to always keep going and live her life to the fullest."

"The world lost a shining light. You were one of the greatest examples of love. There are those in life who are sent to us; placed within our lives for various reasons. Although every one comes into our path with something to share, there are those who touch our lives profoundly and our lives become richly blessed as a result of their presence. They live long beyond their time on earth, deep within our hearts and as part of the fabric of our lives forever. What a wonderful gift. What a wonderful legacy. The most important way to influence the world is through love and you've done that so easily. You were a rare jewel and I will treasure our relationship for the remainder of my days. There is so much that I want to say, but it is all tangled up inside of my chest. It just feels as though nothing I say can express just how much you mean to me, how deeply you touched my life and how much you will be missed. Words fail me and all I can say is I miss you. I will miss our long talks, our deep belly giggles (oh how I miss the way you laughed...I think I laughed harder at the sound of your laughter than at what we were laughing at). I miss your serenades of old songs even when you could not remember the words and replaced the void by humming. I will miss your random comical stories that were even funnier because they were so random. I miss your reminiscing stories of the "good ole days" and all the people who had long since passed. I miss your voice mails, our memories about drinking "fruity" wine and your "I love you to the moon and back." There is a void in the world tonight; the space you once occupied. There is an emptiness that cannot be filled and a silence that is deafening to my heart. There is a long stretch of road ahead of me and it will seem like a lifetime before we meet again. But I promise to spend my remaining time on earth sharing your love where ever I go. I love you, mom. To the moon and back."
