Peter Volk

December 31, 1969 - April 03, 2012

Peter Volk of Cadillac died Tuesday evening, April 3, 2012, at his home. He was 94. He was born on February 4, 19 18 in Brantford, Ontario, Canada to Harry & Bernice (Losinsky) Bitchelo.

He had served in the Royal Canadian Armed Forces for 4 years. Peter had been employed at the Ford Tractor Division in Troy for 28 years retiring in 1980. Mr. Volk had lived in Oak Park, Sterling Heights, Evart and moved to Cadillac in 2003. He spent his winters in Sun City, Arizona for many years. Peter was a member of the Marion Eagles and enjoyed playing cards (Euchre), going to the casino, a good cigar now and then and was an avid golfer.

He married the former Anne Ainslie and she preceded him in death in 1977. He later married the former Janet Ann Collins Angel on July 18, 1981 in Birmingham and she survives him along with his daughters: Barbara Smith of Sun City, AZ, Bonnie (Bill) Hampton of Waterford, and Beverly Volk of Oak Park; 2 stepchildren: Harding (Brenda) Angel and Annette Angel all of Cadillac; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; a brother, Paul (Heather) Volk of Orangeville, Ontario, Canada. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Cheryl Angel; a brother, Mike Bellows and a sister, Vera Knight.

Memorial services will be held at the Marion Eagles at a later date. Arrangements were made by the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac. An online guestbook is available at www.petersonfh.com
