Bette Marie Raymond

It is with great sorrow that we announce to you that our Beloved Wife & Mother, Bette Marie Raymond passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at Munson Healthcare Cadillac Hospital. Bette resided in the area most of her life. She was born in Cadillac on September 17, 1943 to Carl T. & Betty Marie (Weatherwax) Barker. Bette married Roger David Raymond on October 21, 1960 and had been married 64 years when she passed away. They have four children together: Roger, Jr., Ronald, Randy and Nicole. Bette’s life was centered around her Lord Jesus, her family and her church family. She loved and served her Lord God with all that was within her. She prayed endlessly for her loved ones and ministered boldly to others. She rarely missed a moment when she could tell someone about Jesus and how much he loved them. Bette served passionately for many years at the Community Food Pantry. Her last day on earth she was serving at the Cadillac Community Food Pantry at the Revival Center of Cadillac. Bette loved her children and grandchildren fiercely and unconditionally. That love was extended to many others as she welcomed our spouses and friends as part of her family. Bette is survived by her husband Roger; her children: Roger David (Dawn) Raymond, Jr., Ronald Dean (Sandi) Raymond, Randy Lee (Judy) Raymond and Nicole Ranelle (Jay) Clough; grandchildren: Autumn, Marjorie, Andrew, Rikki, Randi, Ronald Jr., David, Ryan, Ross, Courtney, Brock, and Elizabeth; great grandchildren: Billy, Gretchen, Jayden, Japeth, Nolan, Shawn, Rex, Kyla, Karaleigh, Kendra, Kelsey, Macy, Wyatt, Wesley, Rubi, Aubree, Shawn, Landon, and Lincoln; siblings: Linda Costello, Carol Duncan, Margaret Kerr, Ken Barker, Larry Barker, Lowell Barker, and Colleen Montemayor. She was preceded in death by her mother Betty Marie (Weatherwax) Barker Barber; her father, Carl T. Barker; her step-father, Leon Barber, Sr.; 2 sisters, Jackie Garrow, and Annette Bright and a brother, Leon Barber, Jr. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at the Revival Center in Cadillac with Pastor Will Markham officiating. Burial will be at Sherman Township Cemetery in Osceola County. Visitation will be Monday January 6, 2025 from 5-7 PM at Peterson Funeral & Cremation Services in Cadillac and from 10:00 AM until services on Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in her honor to the Cadillac Community Food Pantry at the Revival Center of Cadillac.
