Carlton D. Sarver

Carlton D. " "Fuzzy" Sarver of Tustin passed away suddenly Monday afternoon, November 2, 2015 at his home. He was 79. He was born on September 2, 1936 in Luther to Carlton L. & Lois M. (Wilder) Sarver and they preceded him in death. Carl graduated from Luther High School as the Valedictorian of his class. On October 26, 1957 he married the former Iris R. Sims and she preceded him in death on August 27, 1997. Mr. Sarver had been employed at Gardener-Denver in Reed City for 30 years and retired from Reed City Tool & Die. While he was working his fulltime jobs he also worked as a mechanic and auto body repairman as well as renovating and home repairs for many years. He will be remembered as a loving father with an incredible work ethic. He enjoyed spending his winters in Ridgecrest, California and in his younger years trapping, hunting, and fishing. Carl was an active member of Edgetts Wesleyan Church where he served on the board and it was his great desire to have people come to know the Lord. On September 4, 2005 in Tustin he married the former Robin JoAnn Barnes and she survives him along with his children: Jewell (Rick) Woodall of Luther, Kevin (Doris) Sarver of Marion, Angie (Phil) David of Luther, and Joylene (Victor) Orong of Ridgecrest, CA; 4 step-children: James (Heather) Schram of Navarre, FL, Nicholas (Melissa) Morris of Largo, FL, Brandon (Trish) Morris of Jessup, MD and Megan Morris of Cadillac; 21 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; a brother, Delbert Corson of Reed City and 2 sisters: Shirley Fader of Burton, MI and Lois Engle of Leroy, MI; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and first wife he was preceded in death by a daughter, Crystal Sarver and a sister, Nancy Carlotta "CarlaÃ¢â‚¬Â Neighbor and a brother, Alan L. Sarver. Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the Edgetts Wesleyan Church in Luther with Pastor Dan Miller officiating. Carl's final resting place will be Ashton Cemetery. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to services at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Edgetts Wesleyan Church Parking Lot Fund.
