Clark H. Hamilton

Clark Hamilton of Cadillac passed away Saturday evening, April 9, 2016 at his home. He was 89. He was born on March 3, 1927 in Lucas to James W. & Ada G. (Green) Hamilton and they preceded him in death. Mr. Hamilton had lived all his life in the Cadillac area. He was a Veteran of World War II serving in the United States Navy. After returning from his service to our country he had been employed at B.F. Goodrich for 10 years and retired from Cadillac Rubber & Plastics after 30 years of service there. Clark attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Cadillac. He enjoyed having coffee at the Blue Heron each morning for the past 30 years, spending his winters in Arizona, hunting and most of all spending time with his grandchildren. On May 6, 1948 in Lucas he married the former Marjory M. Flint and she survives him along with their children: David (Pam) Hamilton of Geneva, Il, Dennis (Darla) Hamilton, Kathy (Randy) Ball, Steve (Lisa) Hamilton and Jeff (Julie) Hamilton all of Cadillac; 8 grandchildren: Kim (HJ) Host, Mark (Jessica) Hamilton, Matt (Stacey) Hamilton, Jason (Gloria) Ball, Bradley (Marcie) Ball, Tyler (Selena) Hamilton, Mitchell Hamilton and Jaylyn Hamilton; 4 step-grandchildren: George (Emily) Schade, Heather Schade, Colleen (Brent) Stafford, and Teylor Helsel; 17 great grandchildren; a sister, Marian (Dick) Scheanwald of McBain; sisters-in-law: Katherine Hamilton of Arizona, Mary Lou Emory of Boon, and Kate (Bud) Miller of Sears; brothers-in-law: Bob (Pam) Flint of Newaygo and Carl Baldwin of Lake City; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Clark was preceded in death by sisters and brothers: Annie Anderson and Helen Baldwin, Melvin, Russell, Harold, James and Virgil Hamilton. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Peterson Funeral & Cremation Services in Cadillac with Reverends Steven La Lone and Frank LaLone officiating and full military rites under the auspices of the Cadillac Area Honor Guard. Friends may meet the family from 5-8 PM Tuesday at the Funeral Home. Clark's final resting place will be Maple Hill Cemetery in Cadillac.
