Clayton Wayne Keeler

Clayton Wayne Keeler of Tustin passed away peacefully with his family by his side Monday, April 20, 2026. He was 74. Clay was born on July 27, 1951 in Cadillac to Robert & Dorothy (Mitchell) Keeler. Clay graduated from Cadillac High School in 1969. He worked construction most of his life and he retired from Reith Riley after 15 years. In his younger years he enjoyed playing softball, hunting, and ice fishing, but his greatest passion was bowling. He bowled on the Friday night men’s league at the Pines since 1969 and had achieved a few 300 games and an 800 series. The last 20 years of his bowling career were shared with his brother Rick Keeler, son, Colton Keeler and nephew, Ethan Keeler. Clay also enjoyed watching his wife, Amy and his two daughters, Jennie Chappell & Kelsie Keeler and daughter-in-law, Traci Keeler bowl at the Pines over the last few years. Clay had a heart of gold and was a friend to all who knew him. His family was his pride and joy. On March 3, 1990 in Marion he married the love of his life Amy Dodde, his wife of 36 years and she survives him along with their children: Colton (Traci) Keeler of Reed City, Jennie (Sean) Chappell and Kelsie Keeler (Travis Ouwinga) all of Tustin; his pride & joys: grandson, Layne Chappell and granddaughter, Abigayle Everitt; his siblings: Rick (Teresa) Keeler and Peni Keeler; his mother-in-law, Gayle (John) DeRuiter; father-in-law, Duane (Ellie) Dodde; in-laws: Julie (Mark) Sigafoose, Kim (Lloyd) Duncan, David (Rachelle) Dodde and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Robert & Dorothy Keeler, Clay was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Keeler, niece, Kerri Keeler, and sister-in-law, Jennie Dodde. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, April 24, 2026 at Peterson Funeral & Cremation Services in Cadillac with Elder Brent Michell officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 AM until services. Burial will be at Meauwataka Cemetery in Wexford County.
