David Kenneth Francis Patnode

David Kenneth Francis Patnode, of Cadillac passed away on June 4, 2025, surrounded by his loving daughters. David was born November 5, 1959 on Scott AFB in Illinois, the son of Donald and Ardice Patnode, who preceded him in death. He spent his life working in Cadillac, ending up at AAR where he was currently employed. He spent countless hours with his daughters and grandchildren, teaching the latter to ride bikes, taking them for wagon rides when they were little, celebrating birthdays and holidays, which were so important to him. He filled their lives with countless memories that they can treasure forever. His daughters were honored and forever grateful he chose them. David was neatnik, with a passion for order and organization, a trait he did not share with some of his siblings. He was sentimental, a quiet soul who put his energy and most of all his love, into his family, which meant more to him than anything else in the world. He loved to bike and was an avid football fan, especially Detroit Lions. He is survived by his three daughters, Holly (Brad) Spencer, Vickie (Danny) Brown and Angel (Reo) McQueen all of the Cadillac area. He is also survived by the lights of his life, grandchildren: Dalton, Ian, Devin, Lillian, Lydia, Mayci, William, Sophia-Ann and Shane and great-grandson, Jasper. He was looking forward to being a great grandfather again to Orlando-James in the near future. David is also survived by his siblings: Catherine Waters, Patricia Stockman (Doug Francisco), Donald (Mary) Patnode, Paul Patnode, Laurie (Eric) Lazarus, Anne Patnode, Patrick Patnode, and Stephen Patnode, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Robin Booth and his very-loved dog, Alex. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, June 9, 2025 at Peterson Funeral and Cremation Services in Cadillac with Deacon Kevin Hughes officiating. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Maple Hill Cemetery in Cadillac.
