Irma Pauline Eidins

Irma Pauline Eidins of Cadillac passed away Tuesday morning, July 24, 2018 at her home. She was 99. Irma was born on May 4, 1919 in Kuldiga, Latvia to Otto and Rozalija Benke. On October 6, 1940 in Kuldiga, Latvia she married Eduard Eidins. The family moved to America on May 26, 1948 and in 1955 she received her final citizenship papers. She loved flowers, spending time with grandchildren and singing. Irma was very thoughtful and always took the time to send notes and cards to family and friends on their birthdays and other special times. Being a pastor's wife she had the opportunity to serve alongside her husband at several churches throughout his career. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Cadillac where she was active in the choir and women's circles. The family would like to thank her past caregiver, Gloria (Bob) Mattison; friends, Wayne and Nancy Kent, Sheri Hillman, Ron and Marilyn Truax, Don and Marie Rennie and all of those that remembered Irma over the years with cards and acts of kindness. She is survived by her daughters, Skaya Brown of Cadillac and Zeze Dahley of Midland; grandchildren: Lisa Weaver of Cadillac, Paul (Terri) Brown of Canton, Kristen Brown of Caledonia, Kim (John) Sigelko of Midland, Brian (Cathy) Dahley of Pennsylvania, Jeff (Stacie) Dahley of Hastings, Amy (Greg) Korkoske of Midland; great-grandchildren: Jennifer Weaver, Jessica Weaver (Sean O'Brien), Cameron Brown, Isabelle Brown, Calvin Sigelko, Carson Sigelko, Taylor Dahley, Nolan Dahley, Parker Dahley, Carly Jo D'Alessandro, Lilly D'Alessandra; great-great-grandchildren: Harper, Electra, Greyson, Everett. Mrs. Eidens was preceded in death by her husband, Eduard on November 29, 1986; a son, Gunar Eidins; grandson, Brandon Dahley and a sister, Lilly Benke. Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, July 27, 2018 at the United Methodist Church in Cadillac with Pastor Judy Coffey officiating. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at church. Her final resting place will be Maple Hill Cemetery in Cadillac.
