Jane Tiernan Meyer, marked by faith and family, peacefully at rest December 9, 2025. Beloved wife and best friend of Jack Meyer, cherished and passionate mother of Tamara (Todd) Walters, John (Erin) Meyer, Pete (Ali) Meyer, Mary Jane (Jim) Schremser; Dedicated and fun-loving Meme to her 16 grandchildren Jack, Grayson, Katie Jane (Walters), Ashleigh, Karly, Johnny, Katie (Meyer), Danielle, Erica (Burns), Olivia, Avery, Erin (Meyer), Luke, Charlie, Ben, Johnny (Schremser); Devoted sister and life-long best friend to Molly Tiernan Gilmartin and Nan Tiernan. Preceded in death by her parents Robert and Virginia Tiernan. Born September 19,1945 in Des Moines, Iowa, she was a proud alumna of St Augustine’s, St Joseph Academy and St Mary’s College of Notre Dame. A devout Catholic, volunteering her time in many ways: religious education teacher, eucharistic minister, lector and tambourine extraordinaire at St. Ann Parish. Always actively involved from student council president to PTA board member, she got it done. Ultimate hostess who made everything a party, and everyone feel special and welcome. Touched the lives of everyone she met. A great listener and communicator, who never missed a milestone without a handwritten note. Active in tennis, golf, yoga, and skiing just to name a few. Mahj maven, avid reader, art lover and dancing queen. Loved a Marco Island sunset with Jack, a crisp glass of chardonnay and fresh red lipstick. Accepted her illness, with courage, grace and humor, with a deep appreciation for her care givers. Her steadfast faith and trust in God always guiding her journey Home. She hugged everyone she met and to know to her was to love her. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM, Monday, December 15, 2025 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Cadillac. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Peterson Funeral and Cremation and Services with the rosary being prayed at 6:30 PM. Burial will take place at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Cadillac.
