Kathleen Michelle Cline

Kathleen Michelle Cline, better known as Kathy Bohannon, passed away suddenly, December 18, 2024 at Munson Healthcare Cadillac Hospital. She was 72. Kathy was born June 27, 1952 in Southgate, Michigan to Nickolas and Julia (Shovely) Keklak. She was the youngest of three children, Robert and Patricia. She graduated from Southgate Anderson High School in 1970 and was proud to be a Southgate Saber. After high school she graduated from the Police Academy and began her career at the City of Cadillac as a police officer. Kathy retired from the City of Cadillac and opened up her own store, Mystic Sage, in two locations Cadillac and Traverse City. She worked at TJ Maxx in Cadillac, making many friends during her time there. Kathy was proud to be the current director of Veteran’s Services in Cadillac. Kathy was a talented artist; she could do anything from basket weaving to painting. She had a creative mind; she could have a vision or plan and figure out a way to execute it perfectly. Kathy loved to plan events to entertain family and friends; she could always find a reason to celebrate. She loved to decorate for the holidays, updating and making improvements year to years. Kathy loved to garden and was also a Tiger Baseball fan. Even though Kathy was fiercely independent she was always there to support her daughter as she grew up, even coming to events still in uniform to make sure she didn’t miss a single event. Her dedication continued for her four grandchildren; she loved watching them in their events and musicals. Kathy always found a way to make her life beautiful; in turn making the world around her beautiful too. She is survived by her daughter, Joy Bohannon; grandchildren: Gabriel, Cedar, Julia, Piper Bohannon; great-grandchildren: Atticus and Rayven; her best friend, Gary Taylor and partner in crime, Mitzi Cook. Kathy also considered her pets family: Brady, Suzie Q, Charlie and Tucker. Her dogs: Chloe, Taylor, Peanut and Lola are waiting for her. A memorial visitation will be held Sunday, December 29, 2024 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the Peterson Funeral and Cremation Services in Cadillac. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Joy Bohannon to be used towards a memorial bench in honor of Kathy Bohannon. An online guest book is available at www.petersonfh.com.
