Raymond F. Lubelczyk

Raymond Francis Lubelczyk of Cadillac, MI a humble servant of Jesus entered the Kingdom of Heaven on November 12, 2018. He was 82. He was at home with his wife, Marjorie. He fought the good fight with Alzheimer's disease for 17 years. He resided in Grand Oaks Nursing Center in Baldwin MI for the last 7 years. Memorial services will be Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 11 am with visitation at 10am. Services will take place at Living Light Christian Church 7700 West Blue Rd, Lake City MI. As Raymond wished cremation has taken place. Raymond was born in Gilbertville, Mass to Thomas and Mary (Wolan) Lubelczyk on December 5, 1935. He grew up in Gilbertville, Mass. He attended Hardwick High School and graduated in 1953. After working for a few years he enlisted in the United States Army in 1958 and served his country in Germany. He attended Stockbridge school of Agriculture earning an Associated Degree in Forestry in 1963 and graduated Cum Loudi with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts in 1967.He was a member in Xi Sigma Pi. Honor Society. On April 11, 1964, he married Marjorie Merrill Caswell. Raymond worked for the US Forest Service in Budget and Finances for 32 years retiring in 1998. During his career he served in West Virginia (Monogahela National Forest), Pennsylvania in the USFS State and Private Division, and retiring from the Huron Ã¢â‚¬â€œManistee National Forest in Cadillac MI. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping, cross country skiing, hiking, and tennis. He loved playing and watching baseball. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. He also enjoyed his winters in North Myrtle Beach being a beach comber. He was a member of Living Light Christian Church of Cadillac-Lake City. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 54 years Marjorie M. (Caswell) Lubelczyk, two loving children Jeffrey (Julia) Lubelczyk of Elkridge, MD, Tanya (Mike) Jacobson of Lake City. Two Grandchildren Kylie I. Jacobson and Kaden M. Jacobson. He is preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Mary Lubelczyk, his brother Julian Lubelczyk, his sister Lillian Rand, and two grandsons Andrew M .Lubelczyk and Peter T. Lubelczyk of Elkridge MD. In lieu of flowers, those considering a memorial the family asks contributions be made to Daybreak Adult Day Care Center in Cadillac.
