Robert Sylvester Feeley

Robert Sylvester Feeley, age 77, of LeRoy passed away peacefully on Friday, June 28, 2024 at Corewell Health Meijer Heart in Grand Rapids. Rob was born on January 26, 1947 in Reed City, Michigan to Frank Manning Feeley and Aletha Marie (Holmes) Feeley. Rob graduated from Tustin High School in 1965 and went on to earn several degrees including: a bachelor’s degree and two master’s degrees from Ferris State University and Western Michigan University, respectively. He earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Cooley Law School, graduating in the top ten of his class. With his sharp wits, dedication and relentless work ethic, Rob enjoyed much success throughout his nearly 50-year-long career in the Oil & Gas industry, making lifelong connections and some of his dearest friends along the way. In his later years, Rob began his own oil & gas land services company(Unoco), mentoring and helping many others to enjoy their own success, as well. Unoco is still very active today spanning across the United States from West Virginia to North Dakota. In addition to his oil & gas business, Rob also enjoyed the real estate business in Northern Michigan. Rob had a passion for knowledge and reading to keep his mind sharpened. His favorite hobbies consisted of nature walks, hunting with his son, trout fishing, watching the wildlife in his backyard, playing cards and watching westerns at the cabin with his cousin and best friend, Bill Shaw. He was especially close to his nephew, Danny O’Boyle with whom he’d spend countless hours talking with every chance he could whether it be about Unoco, politics, or any other topic which one could think. More than anything, Rob thoroughly enjoyed good conversation, socializing, and visiting his countless friends, family, and acquaintances as well as making new ones along the way. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Kimberly Lees of Leroy, MI; his children: daughter, Jennifer Feeley of South Lyons, son, Robert (Katy) Feeley of Rockford, MI; and his step-children: Natiesha Perez, Dennia McNeil both of LeRoy, MI, Lynette Feeley of Fruitport, MI; the following grandchildren: Lillian, Kimberly, Kinley, Emersyn Quinn, and Hadley; siblings: Frankie Feeley of Cadillac, MI, Diana Carpenter of Belding, MI, Steven Feeley of Houston, TX Tim Feeley of Austin, TX, Doug Feeley of Jupiter, Florida, Kevin Feeley of Holt, Dave (Deb) Feeley of Howell, Shawn Feeley of Chicago, IL, Stepmother, Patricia Feeley of Howell, MI; special nephew Danny O’Boyle (Michelle) of Dallas along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and grandson, Odin Perez. Friends may meet the family on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peterson Funeral and Cremation Services in Cadillac, Michigan. Funeral services will be held at Peterson Funeral and Cremation Services at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 11, 2024, with Pastor Mike Green officiating. Rob will be interred at Maple Hill Cemetery in Cadillac following the funeral. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harvest Worship Center at 900 Farrar St., Cadillac, MI 49601.
