Tamra Rae Gregg

Tamra Rae Gregg of Cadillac passed away Monday morning, June 19, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. She was 59. Tami was born May 5, 1958 in Cadillac, Michigan to Raymond C. and Lavonne M. (Bishop) Emmons. Tami graduated from Cadillac High School in 1976 and worked at NetMed Transcription Services and Network Reporting as operations manager before retiring after 23 years. She attended Zion Lutheran Church in Cadillac. Her greatest joys in life were her grandchildren. She loved spending quality time with her friends and family. Within the last year she enjoyed spending time and traveling to new destinations with Ron. Tami was a great cook, baker and enjoyed quilting and sewing. Over the years she had made many themed Halloween costumes for her grandchildren. Tami had a zest for life that never faltered during her battle with cancer. She will be remembered for her warm personality, care for others, positive attitude and love for flip-flop sandals. She is survived by her children, Gretchen Klein of Grand Blanc and Travis (Mandy) Gregg of Cadillac; grandchildren: Sidney, Madison, Malia, Jack and Morgan; her mother, Lavonne Emmons of Cadillac; sisters, Gloria (Ron) Little of Grand Rapids and Sandra Flesher of Cadillac; her significant other, Ron Brown of Boon; in laws: Bernadean Gregg of Cadillac, Dave (Linda) Gregg of Cadillac, Judy Fellows of Lansing, Carolyn (Bob) Davidson of Florida, Sheryl Blanchard of Cadillac and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Emmons; a nephew, Brian Little; in laws: Kenneth Gregg, Clay Blanchard and Mark Fellows. Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Friday June 23, 2017 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Cadillac with Reverend Paul Tomlinson officiating. Friends may meet the family Thursday from 4-7 PM at the Peterson Funeral and Cremation Services in Cadillac. Her final resting place will be Maple Hill Cemetery in Cadillac. The family invites everyone to honor Tami by wearing flip flops to her services. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan, Cadillac Chapter or for her grandchildren's college funds.
