Alan L. Sarver Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Alan Louis Sarver, 79, of Rockledge, Florida passed away on April 21, 2014 at home. Alan was born in Luther, Michigan and served in the US Marine Corps from 1951 to 1954. He later graduated from Cleary College in Ypsilanti, Michigan with a Bachelor's Degree in1959 and worked as an accountant with Buick (General Motors), American Motors (Chrysler) and was a business owner and residential appraiser. Alan was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who had a deep Christian faith and was deacon at the Trinity Presbyterian Church of Satellite Beach, Florida. He shared his love for fishing, boating, and playing games with family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Anita (Childs) Sarver of Rockledge, Florida and the mother of his children, ViAnn (Shauger) Sarver of Reed City, Michigan; his children: Carol (DuWayne) Burr of Hersey, Michigan, Nancy (Daniel) Todd of Wyoming, Michigan, Stewart (Diana) Sarver of Warren, Michigan, Susan (Mark) Renne of Paris, Michigan, Kathleen (John) Shroyer of Sand Lake, Michigan, Charles (Nancy) Sarver of Tijeras, New Mexico, Paul Sarver of West Bloomfield, Michigan; Anita's children: Shawn (Heather) Eising of West Melbourne, Florida, Suzanne (James) Penn of Garden City, Michigan, Mary Jo (Edwin) Oliver of Canton, Michigan; brothers Carlton (Robin) Sarver of Luther, Michigan and Delbert Corson of Burton, Michigan; sisters, Shirley Sarver Fader of Burton, Michigan and Lois (R.D.) Engle of Leroy, Michigan; thirty-three grandchildren; two great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlton L. Sarver and Lois M. Wilder Sarver Corson as well as his sister, Nancy Carlotta (Carla) Sarver Neighbor. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac with Pastor Dan Miller officiating. Interment will be at Dover Township Cemetery in Lake County.
