Alger â€œAndyâ€ Lynn Langworthy Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Tustin - Alger â€œAndyâ€ Lynn Langworthy of Tustin passed away Sunday evening, July 24, 2011 at his home. He was 79. He was born on July 26, 1931 in Tustin to Clarence and Lillie Genevieve (Groff) Langworthy and they preceded him in death. On June 30, 1973 in Grand Rapids he married the former Lillian J. Peel and she preceded him in death on March 28, 2010. Alger graduated from Tustin High School in 1949 and had been employed at Evart Products for more than 25 years and was the owner/operator of Langworthy Logging. He was a member of the NRA and Whitetails Unlimited. Mr. Langworthy enjoyed hunting, gardening, auctions, cooking and collectingâ€¦â€¦ and collecting. Survivors include his children: Cheryl Rollo of Cadillac, Diane (Ron) Rhoton of Oak Harbor, Ohio, Bonnie Morris of Tustin, Jo Jepson of San Antonio, Texas, Terry (Sheila) Langworthy of Sand Lake, Jerry (Kathleen) Langworthy of Ashton, Sheila (Rex) VanderVlugt of Cadillac, Shelley (Todd) Brown of Chippewa Lake, Ohio; also by his stepchildren: Mike (Mariann) Thompson of Holland, Larry (Roxann) Thompson of Tustin, Tim (Alice) Thompson of Evart, Susan (Richard) Wolfe of Mesick and Kathy (Dan) Miller of Marion; 33 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; brothers: Harvey and Paul Langworthy. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his sister, Eunice; a brother, Vernon and grandsons: Robert Joseph Rollo and Todd Shilton. Funeral services will be held 11:30 AM Friday, July 29, 2011 at the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac with Pastor Edward Wanner officiating. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery near Leroy.
