Anthony J. "Tony" Burke

Anthony J. "Tony†Burke of Harrietta passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at his home. He was 83. Tony was born October 11, 1930 in Beaverdale, Pennsylvania to James and Martha (Fyfield) Burke and they preceded him in death. On October 19, 1953 in Grand Rapids, Michigan he married the former Lavada L. Anderson and she preceded him in death on February 4, 2010. Mr. Burke had served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Tony worked at Georgia Pacific in Grand Rapids for 45 years before retiring. He enjoyed wood working and whittling. He is survived by his children: Deborah Stover, Brenda (Don) Traxler and Tony (Noelle) Burke; eight grandchildren: Lavada, Candy, Sherry, Andrew, Jodi, Jacki, Zachariah and Lucas; nine great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; four brothers: Leo Burke, Pete (Mary) Burke, Michael Burke and George Burke and several nieces and nephews.
