Arden M. Brown, Sr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Cadillac- Arden M. Brown, Sr. of Cadillac died Friday, January 28, 2011 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. She was 67. He was born in Cadillac on April 10, 1943 to Archie and Helen (Franklin) Brown. He married Nina K. Poineau December, 9, 1972 in Saginaw and she preceded him in death on November 30, 2006. Mr. Brown worked at Cadillac Fabrication until he retired in 2007. He enjoyed fishing, working in his garage and frequent trips to Wal-Mart, but most of all he loved his grandchildren. He is survived by his sons: Rick (Sue) Spiece of Linwood, Arden (Jennifer) Brown of McBain and Brian Brown of Cadillac; daughters: Sherry (Kevin) Stewart of Saginaw and April (Chris) Hansen of Cadillac; eight grandchildren including Cade, Shelby, Madison, Megan; a brother, Ralph (Beverly) Anderson of Lansing; a sister, Doris Tompkins of Rockford; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Nina; sister, Gloria Lamb; brothers, Roy, Bob and Richard Anderson. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday February 1, 2011 at the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac with Reverend Brad Center officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Maple Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
