Betty Lou Foster Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Betty Lou Foster of Cadillac died Sunday morning, September 25, 2011 at her home with her family by her side. She was 83. She was born in Meauwataka on July 1, 1928 to William Collier & Ruby Rachel (Long) Loehr and they preceded her in death. Betty Lou had lived all her life in the Cadillac area and graduated from Cadillac High School in 1946. She had been employed at Goss Canvas and retired from Cadillac State Bank. Betty Lou had made quilts for all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and was known for knitting for premie babies at the hospital and for Project Christmas. She was very creative at many crafts and loved to travel and work in her garden. For many years she enjoyed meeting her 1946 classmates for either coffee at the Blue Heron or lunch at the Eldorado. Survivors include her children: Peggy (Leroy â€œButchâ€ ) Weber of Port Charlotte, FL, Mary (Jeff) Clark, Mike (Cat) Foster, Pat (Nancy) Foster all of Cadillac and Cindy (Greg) Pastotnik of Spring Lake; 15 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a sister, Vivian Colliet of Breaux Bridge, LA; an Aunt, Gail Petersen of Lake City and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Robert Vernon and William C. Loehr, Jr. and a sister, Doris Silvers. Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, September 29, 2011 at the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac with Reverend Kenneth Pastotnik officiating.
