Betty R. McCulloch Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Betty R. McCulloch of Anchorage, Alaska passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Cadillac. She was 81. She was born on September 7, 1931 in Washburn County, Wisconsin to John C. & Marietta M. (Wade) Buchta and they preceded her in death. Betty had been employed at Smith's Jewelry Store in Spooner, Wisconsin and moved to Anchorage in 1961 and had been employed at Karr's in Anchorage, Alaska. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, fishing, camping, golfing, snowmobiling, exploring Alaska and traveling in their Winnebago Motor Home. Betty was a member of the Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Anchorage, AK. On July 19, 1952 in Pine City, Minnesota she married Wallace L. McCulloch and he survives her along with her brothers and sisters: Bob (Goldie) Buchta of Spooner, WI, Estie (Floyd) Murphy of Duluth, MN, Marie (Bob) Jenkins of Wellston, MI, John (Sandy) Buchta of Salem, OR, Glenn (Darla) Buchta of Anchorage, AK, and Nick Buchta of Eagle River, AK; many nieces and nephews and many grandnieces and grandnephews. Memorial services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the Spooner United Methodist Church in Spooner, Wisconsin with Pastor Jack Starr officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to Mercy Hospice of Cadillac, Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church of Anchorage, AK, and Spooner United Methodist Church of Spooner, WI.
