Carole Roberta Ault

July 12, 1934 - July 6, 2014

Carole Roberta Ault of Cadillac passed away Sunday afternoon, July 6, 2014 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. She was 79. Carole was born July 12, 1934 in Cadillac to Milo O. and Doris I. (Stafford) Ash. Carole graduated from Cadillac High School and later attended Davenport College. She began working at Lincoln Elementary School as a reading aide in 1976 and retired from the school after 19 years in 1995. Carole loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, traveling, flowers and watching hummingbirds. On September 18, 1954 at the First Presbyterian Church in Cadillac she married James E. Ault and he survives her with their children: Susan C. (Gregory) Grahek, Elizabeth A. Ault all of Cadillac and Thomas (Laura) Ault of Boon; eight grandchildren: James (Melody), Adam (Erin), Christopher (Megan), Sara, Meghan, Brett, Tyeler and Ryan and six great grandchildren: Blake, Bethany, Jayden, Gabby, Lukas and Harper. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, Christy Lou Ault and a brother, David Ash. In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place and a family gathering will take place. Her final resting place will be Maple Hill Cemetery in Cadillac.
