Cecelia M. Stoll of Tustin passed away Monday, September 9, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Cadillac. She was 90. She was born on November 7, 1922 in Chicago to Michael Josef & Katherine P. (Wrobel) Syzdek and they preceded her in death. Cecelia graduated from high school in Detroit and then went into the United States Navy and served for 3 years during World War II. It was during that time that she met her husband, Willard Lewis Stoll and they were married on May 3, 1945 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and he preceded her in death on Sept. 13, 1993. After the War she went on to the University of Detroit and received her Bachelor's degree and later she received her Master's degree from Wayne State University. Mrs. Stoll worked as a teacher at Southwestern High School in Detroit for 36.9 years and retired in 1984. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Cadillac. Survivors include her children: James L. (Patti) Stoll of Poulsbo, WA, Daniel W. (Ella) Stoll of Fredericksburg, VA and Susan K. Stoll of Tustin; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and a sister, Mary Gagnon of New Baltimore, MI. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters. The Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, September 12, 2013 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Cadillac with Reverend James VonTobel, S.J. as celebrant.
