Debra R. (Klein) Stroud of Cadillac passed away Tuesday evening, May 7, 2013 at Great Lakes Specialty Hospital- Hackley Campus in Muskegon. She was 59. She was born August 15, 1953 in Cadillac, to Peter Earl and Eileen A. (Glendenning) Klein. Debra attended Cadillac Public Schools and had worked at several places in the Cadillac area. She had been employed at the U.S. Forest Service, Frosties Mobile Catering at Four Winns and Arby's. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She enjoyed doing craft work, cooking and camping. She is survived by Special Companion, Andy Cartier of Cadillac; her daughters, Michelle DeView and Meri Gauld (Opey Fleming) all of Cadillac; grandchildren: Ryan Gauld, Cheyenne Foster, Kyle DeView and Hannah DeView; sister in law, Vivian Ashley of Missouri and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gary Ashley and Ricky Klein and a grandson, Hunter Fleming. Memorial services will be held 3:00 p.m., Monday, May 13, 2013 at the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac with Reverend David L. McMahon officiating. Friends may meet the family prior to the service at the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Special Olympics or to the After 26 Project.
