Diane G. Hewett

Diane G. Hewett of Cadillac passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2011 Mercy Hospital in Cadillac. She was 69. She was born in Cadillac on December 18, 1941 to Carl H. and Doris B. (Hoag) Edberg. She married Roy E. Hewett on May 25, 1963 in Cadillac and he preceded her in death on December 16, 2010. Diane had lived in Cadillac all her life and graduated from Cadillac High School in 1959. She had been employed at the Cadillac Country Club for 12 years and for 23 years at Hermann\'s in Cadillac and retired a year and a half ago. She enjoyed being social, bowling and driving boats. Mrs. Hewett also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, her cats and going to The Blue Heron for coffee. She is survived by her children: Craig (Tracy) Hewett of Cadillac, Tim (Shari) Hewett of McBain and Julie (Steve) LaChance of Cadillac; grandchildren: Tyler, Elisabeth and Matthew Hewett; sister-in-law: Erma Edberg of Tustin; niece and nephew: Ken (Wendy) Edberg and Trisha (Wayne) Meyer and cousin: Jack (Helen) Quackenbush, along with cousins: Paul and Bonnie. In addition to her husband, Diane was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Keith Roy Edberg. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 9, 2011at the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac with Parish Assistant Judy Coffey officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 pm at the Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Maple Hill Cemetery in Cadillac. An online guestbook is available at www.petersonfh.com.
