Donald Fisher Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Manton- Donald Fisher of Manton died Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Mercy Hospital in Cadillac. He was 72. He was born June 26, 1938 in Cadillac to Alonzo and Florence (Hansen) Fisher. He married Nancy Bigger in Cadillac on February 11, 1959. Mr. Fisher was employed at Cadillac Metal Casters and Avon Automotive, retiring in 2001. He enjoyed stock car racing, hunting, vehicle repair, coaching and watching his grandchildren play baseball and family gatherings. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Fisher of Manton; sons, Roger and Jim Fisher of Manton and Tony Fisher of Lake City; daughter, Tammy and son -in-law Bill Knitter of Cadillac; grandsons, Roger of Cadillac, Josh of Manton, Tyler of Lake City, Tucker of Lake City; granddaughter, Ashley (Mark Baker) of California; great-granddaughter Tessa; brothers, Ralph (Deb) Fisher, Tom (Ruth) Fisher and George Fisher; sisters, Barb (Jack) Brannam, Pat (Dave) Green and Sandy Presler and his cat Trouble and dog Raven. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Gordy, Chuck and Wayne and parents, Florence (Hansen) and Alonzo Fisher. Funeral service will take place Monday, April 4, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Covenant Life Church, 7700 West Blue Road, Lake City, MI with Rev. Gary Bigger officiating.
