Donald C. Weaver

Donald C. Weaver of Lake City passed away, December 27, 2013 at Belle Oakes Living Center in Lake City. He was 63. He was born on January 26, 1950 in Cadillac to Donald L. & Letha A. (Crandall) Weaver and they preceded him in death. Mr. Weaver had served in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion post #94 of Cadillac as well as the Moose Lodge of Cadillac # 531. Don was the owner and operator of Weaver Forest Products and had also worked as a truck driver for Roger Bazuin & Sons, Inc. and was also a Realtor at ReMax Central in Cadillac. Survivors include his children: Monica (Duane) Alworden of Cadillac, Klint (Amy) Weaver of McBain, and Ryan (Jennifer) Weaver of South Boardman, MI; 7 grandchildren: Trevor, Megan, Audrianna, Kade, Keagan, Karrigan and Sophia; a brother, Randy (Cheryl) Weaver of Mesick; a sister, Arvilla Weaver of California; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Jennifer (Weaver) Trietch. Memorial services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, December 30, 2013 at the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac with Parish Assistant Judy Coffey officiating and full military rites under the auspices of the Cadillac Area Honor Guard. Friends may meet the family from 11:00 AM until services at 1:00 PM. Don's final resting place will be Haring Township Cemetery in Wexford County. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
