Edna L. Bailey Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Edna L. Bailey of Cadillac passed away Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Green Acres Retirement Living in Cadillac. She was 97. She was born June 17, 1915 in Mesick to Edgar and Blanche (Eargood) Heath and they preceded her in death. On June 1, 1933 in Saginaw she married James W. Bailey and he preceded her in death on November 15, 1978. Mrs. Bailey graduated from Mesick High School and was later employed at the Cadillac Evening News. She was a great cook and loved her family. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cadillac and served in many ways there. She had also been a member of the Boon Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Ronald (Colleen) Bailey of Cadillac; a daughter, Judy Asiala of Traverse City; son-in-law, Jack Reamer of Florida; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and ten great- great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded by a daughter, Betty Reamer; son-in-law, Larry Asiala and three sisters: Marion Hamilton, Doris Hillard and Ruth Flees. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac with Reverend Dale Emery officiating. Friends may meet the family Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home and prior to the service on Wednesday. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Cadillac.
