Evelyn J. French

Evelyn June French of Cadillac passed away Monday, April 15, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Cadillac. She was 84. She was born on October 28, 1928 in Antioch Township, Wexford County, Michigan to Archie and Alta (Ward) Rogers and they preceded her in death. She farmed with her husband for many years in Meauwataka where they lived until 1990 when they moved in town. She was a member of the Meauwataka Free Methodist Church and enjoyed playing the keyboard there. She enjoyed baking and watching the birds and cross stich crafts. She married Donald F. French on Oct. 28, 1949 in Mackinaw City and he survives her along with their children, Gary French and Patricia French both of Cadillac and Becky (Keith) Morgan of Saugatuck, MI; grandchildren: Jessica (Adam) Rahn and Scott Morgan and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Herman Rogers. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Meauwataka Cemetery in Wexford County, MI with Pastor Carol Small officiating.
