Frederick M. Clark of Cadillac went to be with his Lord, Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Sunnyside Assisted Living in Cadillac. He was 89. He was born, January 14, 1923, in Clare, Michigan to Fred F. and Zola (Cooper) Clark and they preceded him in death. He married Mildred Jean Ward July 2, 1944 in Harrison, MI. Mr. Clark had been employed by General Motors/ A.C. Spark Plug for 33 years retiring in 1975. He served his country as a veteran of WW2 in the U.S. Army, Air Corps as a pilot. . He was active at Mt. Morris Free Methodist Church in Mt. Morris, Michigan and was also a Lay Pastor with his Wife, Jean, at Zephyrhills Wesleyan Church in Zephyrhills, Florida. Mr. Clark enjoyed: fishing, camping, golfing and shuffleboard tournaments with his wife. He greatly enjoyed family gatherings with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved the Lord, his family, hymns and was a strong prayer warrior for others. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Jean, of Cadillac, his children; Ward “Joe†(Colleen) Clark of Clio, MI, James (Linda) Clark of Millington, MI, Dee (Pattie) Clark of Manton and Mark (Debi) Clark of Cadillac, 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Shiela Ann Clark, sisters; Irene Farling, Zoella Brady, Pearl Brady and a brother, Rovelle Clark. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac with Reverend Mark Clark, Jr. officiating with full military rites under the auspices of the Cadillac Area Honor Guard. Burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery in Harrison, MI. Friends may meet the family from 5:00- 8:00 PM Friday at the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to The Gideons.
