Gary Thomas Helsel of Cadillac died early Tuesday morning, December 20, 2011 in Cadillac. He was 24. He was born on July 15, 1987 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Gary L. Helsel, Jr. and Melinda K. Kleeman. Gary worked as a tattoo artist and had been employed at Perfect Tattoo in Cadillac. He enjoyed art, music, and his bicycles. On July 23, 2011 in Cadillac he married Ashley Marie Beggs and she survives him along with his son, Kameryn Drew Fauble of Kalamazoo; his parents: Gary L. Helsel, Jr. of Lake City and Melinda (Russell) Gilde of Manton; a brother, Kyle Cronkhite of Manton; three sisters: Kassandra Snyder of Cadillac, Jumana Helsel and Raegan Helsel both of Port St. Lucie, FL; grandparents: Barb Kleeman (Jerry Jewett) of Cadillac, Gary (Wanda) Helsel, Sr. of Lake City, and Sue (Duane) Brainerd of Luther. He was preceded in death by his great grandfather, Hiram Helsel in 1983, his grandfather, Thomas Kleeman in 1993 and a sister, Amanda Snyder in 2006. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, December 22, 2011 at the Boon Cemetery in Boon with Reverend Lloyd Jewett officiating. Friends may meet the family from 3-5 PM Wednesday (today) at the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
