Glen E. Bigelow, Jr. of Marion died Monday, January 9, 2012 at his home. He was 61. He was born December 11, 1950 in Cadillac to Glen E. & Velma M. (Maes) Bigelow and they preceded him in death. Glen had served in the United States Army during Vietnam and had lived all of his life in the Cadillac area and was the owner/operator of Bigelow Roofing. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, camping, fishing and walking the trails. On January 26, 1985 in Cadillac he married the former Lois A. Galbraith and she survives him along with children: Glen E. Bigelow, Brandy Fay Bigelow both of Cadillac, Shawn Michael Flynn (Doreen) Bigelow of McBain, Jennifer Ann (Steve) Whitman of Wisconsin, Shane Steven Flynn Bigelow (Abbie Heuker) of Cadillac, Robert Glen (Mirriah) Bigelow and Jerime Lynn Bigelow all of Marion; grandchildren: Alex, Chazz, Theodore, Michael, Liberty, Gavin, Sidney, Isabelle, Timothy, Thomas, Garrett and Mieya; 2 brothers: Kenneth Dean (Pam) and David Mark Bigelow all of Cadillac; 3 sisters: Glenda Mae Baker of Cadillac, Barbara Ann (Robert) Neihardt of Portage and Katherine Louise Babcock of Manton and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Pamela Sue VanderMeulen. Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Burkholder Funeral Home in McBain and it will conclude at 4:00 PM with a word of prayer.
