Gregg William Nordman

Gregg William Nordman of Cadillac passed away Sunday morning, June 16, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Cadillac. He was 65. He was born December 8, 1947 in Cheboygan, Michigan to Earl Rueben and Lillian L. (Kennedy) Nordman and they preceded him in death. Gregg was an Assistant Chief at the Flint Township Fire Department until retiring in 1992. He had lived in the Cadillac area for the past 22 years, where he was a member of the Crown of Life Lutheran Church and the Moose Lodge Post #531. Gregg was very involved with his church. He was very fond of his children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. He also enjoyed golfing, fishing and playing bingo. On January 15, 1966 in Flint he married the former Nancy Anne Hofmann and she survives him with their children: Scott (Jamie) Nordman of Okemos, David (Sara) Nordman of Cadillac and Haley (Eric) Yencer of Flint; grandchildren: Emily, Grace, Jacob, Nicholas, Christopher, Chase and Eli; step-grandchildren: Allyson, Hannah, Tyler and Brian; siblings: Judy (Howard) Borer, Nancy (Edward) Stob, Linda Nickola, Patricia Oberlin, Eric (Christi) Nordman, Paul (Peggy) Nordman and Lisa Nordman. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 20, 2013 at the Crown of Life Lutheran Church in Cadillac with Revered Jeffrey Sonntag officiating. Friends may meet the family Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac. Burial will take place at Maple Hill Cemetery in Cadillac.
