H. Craig Parks Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

H. Craig Parks of Leroy passed away August 22, 2012 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. He was 59. He was born December 11, 1952 in Flint to Harold D. Parks and Arlene Parks- Larsen. Craig was a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service for over twenty years, he was well known as â€œMailmanâ€ to all his family, friends and customers. He had served his country in the United States Army. He loved the farm that he shared with his wife Rachel. He enjoyed fishing, working on classic cars, listening to classic rock records, and camping. On August 19, 2000 in Irons, Michigan he married the former Rachel Marie Zimmer and she survives him along with his children, Michael Parks and Trisha (David) Spellerberg all of Idaho; his eight dogs, which were his children at home; four grandchildren, Kylie, Zoey, Peyton, and Isabella; his father, Harold D. Parks; his mother Arlene Parks- Larsen both of Cadillac; a sister Maureen (Brad) Kindt of Washington; a brother Chris Parks of Buckley and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Parks in 2007. Memorial Services will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Cadillac with Reverend Joel Hess officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Craig Parks Memorial Medical Fund at Wexford Community Credit Union. Arrangements were made by Peterson Funeral Home.
