Harold L. Price

January 3, 1927 - May 11, 2013

Harold L. Price of Cadillac passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013 at the Curry House Assisted Living in Cadillac. He was 86. He was born on January 3, 1927 in Flint to George E. & Doris I. (Keene) Price and they preceded him in death. In September of 1951 he married the former Charlotte Jean Russell and she preceded him in death on April 2, 2003. He attended Flint Public Schools and worked for the family poultry wholesale business. In 1945 he went into the United States Army Air Corps and served over 2 years during World War II. When he returned from the service he worked again at the family business and then went to work for the International Union of Operating Engineers Local #324and was a member for 40 years and retired in 1987. Mr. Price enjoyed playing cards, hunting, big lake fishing, gardening, and rock hunting. He was a member of the Moose Lodge # 531 and the Flint Steelheaders Association. Survivors include his daughters: Denise (Dan) Danford of Cadillac, Michelle (Jim) Smith of Wyoming and Dawn (Bob) Miller of Florida; grandchildren: Cory (Aimee) Danford, Holly (Josh) Franklin, Casey (Michelle) Danford, Toby Danford, Jason (Dianna) Lutz, Nathon (Jenny) Lutz, Jona French and Devinee Miller; 10 great grandchildren; a sister, Dolores (Al) Eneix of Cadillac; many nieces and nephews; and his dog, special friend and companion Dixie. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie price and 3 brothers: Edward, Johnny and Richard Price. The family would like to thank all of the caregivers at the Curry House for the awesome care given to their father. Private memorial services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Mercy Hospice or to Missaukee County Humane Society. An online guestbook is available at www.petersonfh.com.
