Henrietta Rose Stahl

Henrietta Rose Stahl, of McBain, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2012, at Autumnwood of McBain. She was 88. She was born on October 10, 1923, in Vogel Center to Edward and Nellie (Spoelma) Hoekwater, and on January 7, 1944, she married Peter Stahl at the Hoekwater family home at Vogel Center. He preceded her in death on June 11, 2011. She was a member of the McBain Christian Reformed Church, where she had been a very active member. She loved to do volunteer work, and her family was very important to her. She always enjoyed family get-togethers. She is survived by her children, Bonnie (Harvey) Eisenga, Larry (Suzanne) Stahl, Carole (Paul) Shaarda, and Loren (Diane) Stahl, all of McBain; 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at the McBain Christian Reformed Church, with Jacklyn Busch officiating. Burial will follow at the Mount View Cemetery in McBain. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church and one hour prior to services on Wednesday. Memorial contributions should be directed in Josh and Mandy Shaarda\'s name, International Teams, 411 W. River Road, Elgin, Ill. 60123-1570. Services were handled by the Burkholder Funeral Home in McBain.
