Jodi L. Blick Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jodi L. Blick of Comstock Park and formerly of Cadillac died Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at St. Mary\'s Health Care in Grand Rapids of heart failure. She was 43. She was born in Cadillac on September 6, 1969 and graduated from Cadillac High School in 1987 where she sang in the school choir, was a cheerleader and was Salutatorian of her class. She went on to the University of Michigan and graduated from there with a Bachelor\'s degree in Liberal Arts. Jodi had been employed at various jobs over the years. She was an avid reader and was involved in the Footlighter\'s Theater where she enjoyed being in plays as well as attending them. With her ability to sing and dance she toured Scandinavia. Survivors include her parents: Rebecca â€œBeckyâ€ (Kenneth) Kleyn of Hilton Head Island, SC and Williamsburg, MI and Jan (Nancy) Blick of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; a brother, Brian (Liisa) Blick of Rockford and their children: Alex, Gage and Kali; Grandmother, Billye Benedict of Cadillac; Aunts & Uncles: Beverly (Jack) Lewis of Cadillac, Carol (Bob) Sellers of The Villages, FL, Peter (Liz) Blick of Lecanto, FL and Allan (Patricia) Blick of Carbondale, CO; step-sisters: Julia (Rick) Vleugel of Vicksburg, Dana (Jim) Vance of Jackson, Amy Garber (Kevin Hynes) of Portage, and Heidi Kleyn of Vicksburg; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Marshall Benedict and Paul and Merry Blick. An informal memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, September 22, 2012 at the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac with Reverend William Hirschfeld officiating. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service. Her final resting place will be Maple Hill Cemetery in Cadillac.
