John Raymond Haveman Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

John Raymond Haveman of Cadillac passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Cadillac. He was 62. He was born June 18, 1951 in Cadillac to Raymond George and Lois Marie (Gaukel) Haveman and they preceded him in death. John had worked for various Christmas tree farms in the area and enjoyed traveling to the Upper Peninsula and the Leelanau area, preparing the trees for the season. He loved the outdoors, gardening and being in the woods. He was known as "The FishermanÃ¢â‚¬Â and his ability to catch fish anywhere. He is survived by his son, Cory (Amanda) Stout of Houghton Lake; grandsons, Nathan Allen Stout and Nicholas Adam Stout; siblings: Darlene (Barry) Latham of Lowell, Debra Haveman of Las Vegas, Robert (Joyce) Olajos of Bath and Lisa (Mike) Shulters of Adrian; step siblings: Patricia Dunnigan of Swartz Creek, Roxann Banks of Otisville and Doug (Louise) Wiggins of Columbiaville; many nieces and nephews and his best friend, Bob Turnblom of Cadillac. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his infant twin brother, Jerry and grandparents, Virginia and Ted Gaukel. Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 25, 2013 at the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac with Pastor Ed Gilbert officiating.
