Judy Hagberg

May 10, 1938 - March 2, 2012

Judy Hagberg of Cadillac died Friday afternoon, March 2, 2012 at her home. She was 73. She was born on May 10, 1938 in Manton to Ancel C. & Una (Gumm) Norman and they preceded her in death. Judy graduated from Manton High School in 1956 and graduated from Cadillac Institute of Cosmetology in 1975. Mrs. Hagberg had lived all her life in this area and had been employed at Steve Fowler\'s Beauty Shop for over 25 years. She was a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge of Cadillac and the Daisy Chain of the Elks Lodge of Cadillac. After her husband retired they worked for the Winnebago Motor Coach Co. out of Iowa as Regional Directors and traveled all over the country. Judy enjoyed bowling, volleyball, bingo, dancing and patio parties in San Benito, Texas where they spent their winters for 28 years. She married Donald Hagberg on October 9, 1965 in Cadillac and he survives her along with their children: Debra (Gary) Kasza of Tustin, Kimberly (Jeff) Schroeder of Cadillac, Michelle (Jason) Rodenbaugh of Cadillac and Penny (Mike) Jenema of Cadillac; grandchildren: Lindsay (Jared) Behl, Brent (Amanda) Kasza, Larah (Jon) Wildern, Chelsi and Kahli Schroeder, Dylan Rodenbaugh, Morgan and Chance Rodenbaugh (who had a special place in Judy\'s heart) and Sara (Joe) Clugston; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Beverly (Devere) Willey of Traverse City and her special friend, M.J. of Cadillac. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Polly Scarbrough and Lucille Nickerson. A memorial service will be held in the spring. Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Hospice of the charity of your choice. Arrangements were made by the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac.
