LaVonna J. Clark Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

LaVonna J. Clark of Cadillac passed away Thursday, December 26, 2013 at her home. She was 83. She was born September 8, 1930 in Cadillac to Glen and Edith (Rowe) Stewart and they preceded her in death. On January 19, 1952 in Cadillac she married Dale M. Clark and they were married for fifty years. He preceded her in death on February 18, 2002. Vonnie lived all her life in Cadillac and was a graduate of Cadillac High School. She retired from Michigan Bell. She was a lifetime member of First Christian Church in Cadillac. Vonnie was a generous supporter of the Smile Train Fund. She loved reading, knitting and crocheting and enjoyed donating her work to those in need. Vonnie loved her family and they also love her very much. She is survived by daughters: Penny (Mike) Cardinal of Indianapolis, Indiana, Susie (Jim) Haggerty of Ravenna, Michigan and Sherri (Matt) Magiera of Cadillac; eight grandchildren: Mindy (Jeremy) Hankins, Kristin McKinley, Jennifer McKinley, Ryan (Tara) Cardinal, Sheila (Kameron) Cullina, Dan (Christina) McKinley, Kelly (Tonya) McKinley and Garth Magiera as well as 11 great grandchildren and a sister, Glenda (Ivan) Robertson of Cadillac. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Lou Kangas and Sharon Stewart. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac with Pastor Ken Pastotnik officiating. Friends may meet the family Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at Selma Township Cemetery in Wexford County.
