Louis Charles Davis of Cadillac died Sunday, October 9, 2011 at Saint Mary\'s Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI. He was 77. He was born July 25, 1934 in Mount Clemens, Mi to Louis Jake and Lucy Jeanette (Snyder) Davis. He married Charlotte M. Bitely January 17, 1953 in Mount Clemens, MI. Mr. Davis worked at Cape Canaveral, FL and in Detroit on Skyscrapers and for four years at the Ford Estate. He later was a builder in the Cadillac area and for the past 7 years he was at Four Winns in the Engineering Department. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Cadillac and had served on many Committees and Boards there. He was also a Boy Scout Leader and he loved hunting, fishing and being outdoors and dearly loved his family, children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte of Cadillac, his sons, Louis Davis, Jr. and William Davis of Cadillac, his daughters, Pamela (Jeffrey) Beal of Port Huron, MI, LuAnne (James) Shirkey of Grayling, Deborah (Douglas) Kulmacz of Cadillac and Lucie (Kevin) Pohl of Homosassa, FL., 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, nephews and niece, that were raised with the family, Eric (Julie) Burleigh of Lake City, Paul Burleigh of Mt. Clemens and Celia Burleigh of Arizona, and a sister, Linda (Burton) Dery of Cadillac. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Robert Davis, 3 sisters, Coleen Collins, Dorothy Burback and Grace Arnold and 2 grandchildren, Tabitha Davis and Louis Davis III. Memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011 at 11:00 am at Zion Lutheran Church in Cadillac with Reverend Scott Torkko officiating.
