Marian Ruth DuVall Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Marian Ruth DuVall of Blanchard formerly of McBain died Saturday evening, March 17, 2012 at Margaret\'s Meadows Assisted Living in Remus. She was 90. She was born on February 23, 1922 in Falmouth to William & Julia (Hoekwater) Westveer. On June 21, 1941 she married Roger DuVall at the DuVall family farm and he preceded her in death on October 14, 1980. Marian had been employed at the Wexford-Missaukee Health Department and retired in 1980. She enjoyed harness racing, flowers, gardening and volunteering at Red Cross Blood Drives in the area. For many years she was a member of the McBain Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her sons: William DuVall of Eustis, Florida and Curt (Pattie) DuVall of Blanchard; grandchildren: Tracy (Scott) Schlager, Travis (Bea) DuVall all of Florida and Rob DuVall of Alma; 4 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her step-father, Bill Koster and a daughter-in-law, Margaret DuVall and her brothers and sisters and many in-laws. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at the Burkholder Funeral Home in McBain with Reverend Gary Coleman officiating. Burial will be at Mount View Cemetery in McBain.
