Merrill Ann Naud

August 10, 1935 - April 25, 2012

Merrill Ann Naud of Cadillac passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2012. She was 76. She was born August 10, 1935 in Montreal, QC, Canada to Eric and Marguerite (McDonald) Michaud. On November 8, 1958 she married Joseph H. Naud, M.D. and he preceded her in death in September 1990. Merrill was raised in Noranda, QC and attended the Royal Victoria Hospital School of Nursing in Montreal where she met her husband at McGill Medical School. She worked as a nurse until the birth of her six children. From then on she spent most of her life raising a family in the Sherwood Forest neighborhood of Detroit with children at Gesu, University of Detroit High School, and Mercy High School. She was active in the UDHS Mothers club in the 1970-1980\'s. Merrill was a resident of Detroit from 1958 to 1995. She then resided in Naples, FL from 1995 until 2005 when she moved to Cadillac. She is survived by her children Matthew (Mary Harrington) Naud of Ann Arbor, Mark (Lisa Pendolino) Naud of South Hero, VT, Luke (Pat Grant) Naud of St. Clair Shores, MI, Monique (John) Campo of Cadillac and Renee Naud of Arona, Italy and her nine grandchildren: Eleanor Naud, Kevin Naud, Eric Naud, Elizabeth Naud, Siena Campo, Emily Naud, Merrill Campo, Lucia Pendolino, and Lucas Pendolino. In addition to her husband, Joseph, she was preceded in death by a daughter Joanna Naud in 2011. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to one of the causes Merrill supported: University of Detroit High School, or Conservancy of Southwest Florida.
