Michael Scott Borgstrom of Lake City passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013. He was 50. He was born August 22, 1962 in Cadillac to William W. & Teresa A. (Longstreet) Borgstrom. He graduated from Pine River High School and went into the United States Navy where he served for 4 years. Mike was employed at Four Winns in Cadillac and loved motorcycling, camping, canoeing, snowmobiling, hiking, boating, bird watching, camp fires, video games, fishing, gardening especially vegetables. He also enjoyed going for walks with his dog “Sammy†as well as walking the Mackinaw Bridge. He was a member of the Moose Lodge of Cadillac #531. On July 21, 2003 in a helicopter in Las Vegas he married the former Judy Lynn Telgenhoff and she survives him along with step-children: Jennifer (Nate) Sackett of Manton, Bradley (Angela) Ward of Battle Creek, and Heather (Kevin) Girard of Texas; 4 grandchildren: Autumn, Adriana, Leah, and Ethan; his mother, Teresa Bohn; brothers and sisters: Todd (Isabel) Borgstrom, Kristine (Robert) Jennings, Brett (Teresa) Borgstrom, Amy (Kurt) Anderson, and Angelique (David) Weaver; nieces and nephews: Katie, Zachary, Robyn, Josh, Luke, Savannah, Matthew and Emma; parents -in-law, Don & Ella Telgenhoff and brother-in-law, Gary Telgenhoff (Dana Russell). He was preceded in death by his father, William and step-father, John D. Bohn. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, January 10, 2013 at the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac with Reverend Scott Torkko officiating. Friends may meet the family from 5-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery.
